Mr. Greenwood is in his third year as the Percussion Director at Vero Beach High School. He is a 2012 graduate of VBHS and was highly active as a member of the Fighting Indians Band. He attended the University of South Florida where he studied percussion with Robert McCormick. At USF, he performed with the McCormick Percussion Group, the Herd of Thunder Drumline, was a featured percussionist with the Symphonic Band, and Co-Principal Percussionist of the Wind Ensemble. Since assuming his role as the Percussion Director, the VBHS Percussion Ensembles have continued to receive superior ratings at the Solo & Ensemble MPA. He also made an appearance at the 24th annual “Red, White, and Blue” concerts, performing a xylophone feature with the combined VBHS Concert Bands. Mr. Greenwood maintains a private-lesson studio of percussion students from across Indian River County. In addition to his duties for the VBHS Percussion Program, he is currently in his second year as the Director of Bands at Gifford Middle School, with most his band students continuing to become members of the Fighting Indians Band. He graduated Cum Laude in 2015 with his Bachelor of Science in Music Education. He is a member of FMEA, FBA, and the Percussive Arts Society (PAS), and enjoys educating students in the art of percussion.
David Heroux is back for a second year as Percussion Instructor. Since 2014 he has served as the Orchestra and Percussion Director at Indian River Charter High School, where he also teaches music theory. He received a degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Notre Dame in 2009. While at Notre Dame he participated in the marching band, symphonic and chamber orchestras, percussion ensemble, and various other groups. He resides in Vero Beach with his wife, Corey, and their young sons Jack and Owen.
Mrs. Russell joined the VBHS Marching Indian staff in January 2017. A Michigan native, Mrs. Russell is a graduate of Concordia University-Ann Arbor, MI and is currently an English teacher at Oslo Middle School. Mrs. Russell brings 23 years of studio dance training and teaching experience to the color guard.

Ms. Coonce earned her Bachelor’s degree in music education from Stetson University, her Master’s from Bowling Green University and is currently working on her PhD in Education Sciences at Florida State University. Ms. Coonce is currently the AP Art teacher at the VBHS main campus and serves as the tuba/sousaphone instructor and marching tech for the VBHS band.

Annora M. Daige
Annora Daige is a Florida Native and a product of the Pride of the Treasure
Coast. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from UCF and a Master's Degree from
USF, both in Trumpet Performance.
Annora performs on her trumpet locally and throughout Florida. She has had
the privilege of playing throughout the country as well as overseas. In
addition to working with the High School Band, Annora also teaches for an
after school music program at First Presbyterian Church and with Oslo and
Gifford Middle Schools Band programs teaching brass fundamentals.
Mr. Escobar has been teaching marching bands for over 20 years. He was a member of the Boston Crusader Drum and Bugle Corps from 1998 to 2000. Mr. Escobar was also on the teaching staff with the 2002 Division 2 World Champion Magic of Orlando drum and bugle Corps. This will be Mr. Escobar’s third year as the Visual Caption Head with the Vero Beach Fighting Indians Marching Band.

Joe Lorino is a native Floridian born and raised in Miami/Dade County. He graduated from Homestead Senior High School and attended Miami-Dade College and The University of Miami pursuing a degree in Music Engineering. He attained membership in various marching bands and drum corps including: The University of Miami Band of the Hour, The Florida Wave, Suncoast Sound and The Magic of Orlando Drum and Bugle Corps. Joe serves as the current Vice President, and past President, of Pageantry Arts Concepts, Inc. PAC provides an opportunity for our community's youth, ages of 12-22, to further their knowledge and ability in a professional setting. Joe resides in Vero with his wife Debbie and is the proud father of Heather, an alumnus French horn player at Vero Beach High School.
